The Big Inning | Giants 8, Cardinals 2

It was a tight game until it wasn't. Logan Webb is 5-2.

Through seven innings, nine Giants stepped to the plate with a runner in scoring position. Only two knocked a run in. All the while, Logan Webb tussled with his command but held up the Giants' 3-1 lead.

Then, only a few batters into the eighth inning, something unexpected happened.

Brandon Crawford lined a single to left-center.
Evan Longoria doubled into right-center.
Curt Casali lofted a homer off the top of the wall.

Three at-bats with runners in scoring position. Three hits. Five runs.

Tight game turned to laugher, and the big inning fueled the Giants to a sixth straight win.
