Revenge of the Dots | Diamondbacks 4, Giants 3
Sometimes we spend three hours watching the game. Other times we spend three minutes watching dots.
Following a game on MLB's Gameday app is agonizing. You're relying on dots. Red, green, and blue dots representing each pitch.
They zip into a rectangular strike zone like someone throwing darts. There's no nuance to it. No pitch movement. No tension from the crowd. Just unemotional dots.
So imagine seeing dot No. 3 zoom into the picture with the bases loaded and one out, down one run in the eighth inning. Dots like that are hit a long way.
Or into inning-ending double plays.
