Kerry’s comments about off the record with Vitello sounds like Vitello on the record w/TN media: “We kind of have 4 guys, if you count Buster, Zack is our GM, and a couple of others that really steer the ship.”

Thanks for all you do Roger. Love learning about the young guys, but even more, I love the interviews with them. Keep it up!!

You write: “Nobody vaulted out of nowhere to contend for the roster”. I’m truly shocked than no one seems to be talking about Mr. Bericoto. Every time I’ve been able to watch a game he has hit and hit with authority. Yesterday he gets 1 at bat and hits a HR. The only run the G’s can muster. Sure feels to this fan like he’d be a great guy to have somewhere in the lineup. Not sure where to put him 😂 - and ain’t that the dilemma - but, man, nobody has impressed me as much this spring.

Let’s get this party started!!

Appreciate your thoughts, Daryl! Turns out it was Oliva, not Bericoto, who vaulted out of nowhere to land on the roster. (Though Bericoto had a great spring.)

PS. Roger doesn't write these newsletters, I do! He would've never said something so bone-headed like I did 😉

Webb and Bailey are Giants success stories!

Kerry’s awesome but stop bringing up Kapler. Kapler got more wins out of 2023 roster: 79 vs Melvin 2025: 81.

Dog Days of Summer Melvin Meter Vitello Challenge to exceed:

8/5/23 Preller Padres: 55-56

8/2/24 Zaidi Giants: 55-56

8/2/25 Posey Giants: 55-56
