Numbers Game
It's taken a lot for the Giants to get here.
Ten days ago they were a season-low eight games under .500. Since then they've won (almost) every game and, at 77-78, have a very real shot at a winning record.
Does it really matter? No.
But the Giants are trying to avoid becoming one of only a handful of teams to finish with a losing record after winning 100+ the year before.
An 82nd loss would also secure the Giants' fifth losing season out of the last six.
The Giants spend like a winner. They should play like one, too.
