All season long, I've been wondering about the assessment re the Giants' attendance figures. I've heard multiple times that the Giants have increased attendance this year and are averaging over 35K. I don't buy it. Views of the crowd, whether it be early in the game or later (with a few exceptions of course), reveal tons of empty seats. Are these folks on food, beverage, bathroom, and exercise breaks, or are the Giants really pulling in more like 25K in actual attendance (not tickets sold)?

Attendance numbers are always the number of tickets sold, not butts in seats. I hear your skepticism. You can track attendance here: https://www.espn.com/mlb/attendance

Hi Connor, I am aware of the way the stats are tailed. Thing is the Giants are claiming 35-37K average in places I've looked. Are that many people really buying tickets ahead of time or via season tickets, but not showing up? Thanks.
