At some point, whether in a few weeks or a few months, memories of the Giants' even game-odd game dynamic will fade away.

The whole thing is silly. The Giants have lost Games 1, 3, 5, and 7—and won Games 2, 4, and 6. It's baseball.

But right now for the Giants, baseball is manifesting itself as this bizarre every-other-game force. One day the game is easy. The next, it's impossible.

Make it make sense. Because not much does about the Giants.*
