Is he or isn't he?
Bryce Eldridge is making the Giants wonder.
No regrets, right Buster?
In the days since the Giants told Bryce Eldridge he’ll start the season in Triple A, he’s given them a lot to think about.
On Sunday the 21-year-old blasted a fastball from the Giants’ No. 3 starter 444 feet to the opposite field. Then on Monday he shot one the other way again, this one sailing out at 104 mph.
This is exactly what the Giants wanted to see for the last six weeks. This is exactly what the Giants want to see for the next six weeks. Hopefully only a few of those will be spent in Sacramento.
And the Giants hope, too, that the next time they call up Eldridge will be the last time.
His power is too big to hide. The only regret they’ll have is wasting a single home run in Triple A.
We’re inching ever closer to Wednesday night’s first pitch. I’ll be back in your inbox tomorrow with a few predictions and a 2026 preview podcast with Kerry. Hope you enjoy.
