Five days after giving up eight runs, Tyler Mahle wasn't allowing so much as a hit. The Giants were dragging.
They were seven outs from getting no-hit before Thairo Estrada doubled. They were four outs from the last-place Reds sweeping them before Evan Longoria homered.
His fourth home run in his last four games put the Giants up for good. They tallied two more runs, which were needed after Camilo Doval allowed a two-run homer in the ninth.
The Giants are not playing well. Nothing is coming easy. Now they're about to play the Phillies, who aren't having any fun.
