I don’t know who the Giants are going to trade away or trade for.

But I do feel certain it's going to be underwhelming—with too many players staying or not enough coming in.

This is who the Giants are, led by Farhan Zaidi. They are a rational, deliberate group. A Monday night bidding war for Juan Soto is as much their scene as a Brazilian steakhouse is for a vegetarian.

And what is this team, sitting at 51-52 after Monday night's loss, really supposed to do? Blow it all up? Sell the farm for ... anyone?
