If this Giants team finds its way to the playoffs, you'll almost certainly look back on this series against the Cardinals.

Maybe not as a turning point—but as a key stretch where everything came up Giants.

They conquered Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt in the late innings of Game 1.

They destroyed St. Louis with 17 hits in Game 2.

And in Game 3 they were down to their last strike when Mike Yastrzemski's lined a two-run homer to tie the game.

On top of it all is the debut of 21-year-old Luis Matos, who will have a lot to say about where this season goes.

It's heading the right way.
