The Giants' defense is decidedly Not Good.

Loyal readers will recall yesterday's postcard, acknowledging the Giants' poor defense. You know it, I know it, and we know Gabe Kapler knows it.

“Balls are getting through that other teams are catching," he said.

Ain't that the truth. Just look at Thursday's three-error inning. It was a 2022 Giants Special.

One ball bounced between shifted infielders. Another skittered past the reach of a diving shortstop. Another clanked off the glove of the second baseman. Another... well, you get it now.

It all added up to the Giants’ first series loss to the Rockies at home in three years. Deservedly so.
