A Long-Awaited Debut | Nationals 14, Giants 4
Jason Krizan has been in the minors since 2011. He's appeared in 1,132 games and stepped to the plate 4,577 times. For comparison, Brandon Belt has nearly mirrored those numbers in the major leagues. Both guys have been around quite a while.
If only for a night, Krizan's minor league career ended on Friday. The 32-year-old got called up not only to the majors but to the starting lineup.
He went hitless in a blowout loss, but after 11 years of stuffy bus rides and half-empty ballparks, how could it not be the greatest 0-for-3 of his life?
