35-Year-"Old" Wins Baseball Game | Giants 4, Diamondbacks 3
Brandon Crawford is having the type of season that makes you think the end is near—the type of season that makes you long for the mirage that was 2021.
His .642 OPS would be his lowest since his rookie year. His defensive metrics have regressed to below average (or worse, depending where you look). His play looks like that of a 35-year-old shortstop.
But his season-long struggles allow us to wring an extra drop of joy out of his walk-off "hit."
Crawford might never be what he once was. But with a chance to win the game, he did.
